The President’s Letter to Leaders of Both Houses Re: Intention to Unveil Jobs Program … Denied By Boehner

Dear Mr. Speaker: (Dear Mr. Leader:),

Our Nation faces unprecedented economic challenges, and millions of hardworking Americans continue to look for jobs. As I have traveled across our country this summer and spoken with our fellow Americans, I have heard a consistent message: Washington needs to put aside politics and start making decisions based on what is best for our country and not what is best for each of our parties in order to grow the economy and create jobs. We must answer this call.

Therefore, I respectfully request the opportunity to address a Joint Session of Congress on September 7, 2011, at 8:00 p.m. It is my intention to lay out a series of bipartisan proposals that the Congress can take immediately to continue to rebuild the American economy by strengthening small businesses, helping Americans get back to work, and putting more money in the paychecks of the Middle Class and working Americans, while still reducing our deficit and getting our fiscal house in order. It is our responsibility to find bipartisan solutions to help grow our economy, and if we are willing to put country before party, I am confident we can do just that.

President Obama’s call for a joint session of congress; in order to address the jobs crisis, has been denied by (soon to be ex) speaker Boehner.

As if Republican intention to politically manipulate this nation hasn’t been apparent enough - this truly reveals their intentions.
The President does his job, bringing a progressive agenda forward and regardless of how much they claim the issue is about our budget or jobs - they just simply have no intention of addressing these issues prior to an election.
Many of us, including myself may be partisan; but leadership is not a partisan issue. Don’t criticize the man for not being a leader when you are what stands in his way.

For now…

In June 1995, Boehner distributed campaign contributions from tobacco industry lobbyists on the House floor as House members were weighing how to vote on tobacco subsidies.[18] In a 1996 documentary by PBS called The People and the Power Game, Boehner said “They asked me to give out a half dozen checks quickly before we got to the end of the month and I complied. And I did it on the House floor, which I regret. I should not have done. It’s not a violation of the House rules, but it’s a practice that‘s gone on here for a long time that we’re trying to stop and I know I’ll never do it again.”

Think of how much better off government would be if Nancy Pelosi had this man’s job.

Sign this petition to send John Boehner a pair of balls: LINK.

Though I doubt his staff will ever glance at what I had to say; rest assured. My comments to the speaker were greatly concerned with the level of selfishness at the expense of our nation.

True patriots and public servants carry out their duties faithfully, whole heartedly, and without bias. This is blatantly a desperate ploy for power. Under no circumstance, preventing the U.S. from meeting its financial obligation can be a reasonable ultimatum. If you believe the national debt is an issue - develop a sensible budget and not a hostage situation.

Boehner needs to grow a pair of balls and accept his party does not have political dominance for a reason; that reason being, their continual disservice to our nation in the last decade. You break it, you bought it … now pay up. Grow a pair of balls Mr. Speaker and man up, you have a job to do.

Joking aside let the head of Congress know, that under no condition, is a scheme the way to conduct policy.
