Libya? Lifeline? Phone my campaign manager.

the whole Herman Cain interview stumble reveals, most of all, how hollow conservative opposition to the President is.

they hear the name Obama and they immediately knee jerk into the standard “oppose”; regardless of how informed they are of how events transpired or what his stance on policy is.

this isn’t just a trend for conservatives (even though its totally left our country shit out of luck in terms of a productive Congress); but its also the trend for anti establishment liberals, libertarians, political-hipsters, non conformists, etc.

dissent is a form of patriotism, but it should be the result of an the inability to reason out favorable understanding; not default.

compromise makes great leadership.

thanks Herman, for revealing how transparent (and hollow) your logic is.

Obama really doesn’t need congressional approval for Libya.

Heres a fun exercise: go pull out your copy of the constitution and look for the words,

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”

Now, spell out what the acronym NATO stands for: North American Treaty Organization

Oh snap Ron Paul, guess somewhere in the ferver of bringing thousands of babies into the world you forgot to read the fine print of the constitution you diapered every one of those newborns in, that is, before you took legal action against the POTUS for Libya. fucking moron.

A great NPR article on the foreign policy divisions in the WH. The division between idealists and realists on Libya and Egypt demonstrate great leadership on this matter.
(I feel that the alternative to this leadership would be a room full of screeching hawks)
enjoy the read…
