wow guys after following that debate, thats it, I am now a republican. something about the ability to say anything I want without any consequence of science, truth, reason, logic, or research is really starting to appeal to me.

G-d performs their own miracles and not others’. if what you want from religion is to create your own miracles (or someone else to) then you should enroll in hogwarts and practice witchcraft. prayer and faith are wonderful; but, they are personal between you and G-d (remember G-d listens and does not take requests, prayers are not answered or earned). religion is the answer to why; not how, what, or when.
it kills me to see politicians claim they are doing god’s work, such hubris is a damnable offense. if G-d is as great as we believe, creator of the heavens and earth, then we are not needed to do his work. nor can we presume to understand his intentions. such thinking is the peak of narcissism.
